THURSDAY NIGHT TIME TRIALS

Race Info for 2024

Please read the time trial rules below.  Our ability to run the time trial is dependent on you following these rules:

RSVP
I will send an email to everyone the day before the Time Trial. Please RSVP if you plan to attend as this helps me prepare the start order. Being prepared in advance will allow us to shorten the amount of time waiting for the time trial to start.

PAYMENT
We feel confident about the ability to race this year, so I have reinstated the Season Pass. If you plan to time trial regularly (and I recommend you do!) buying the Season Pass will save you tons of dough!

The drop-in fee is $15 and payment is by Venmo. Venmo is an app that you can download to your phone and you’ll be able to quickly pay for the TT just before the race.

THE STAGING AREA - THE START AND FINISH ARE DIFFERENT IN LOCATIONS
If you drive to the time trial, please park in the middle school parking lot and use every other space to ensure social distancing.  You can ride around to warm up, but please be waiting by your car by 6:15 for check in and seeding.

The time trial course starts at the driveway between the middle school and the Silver Lake High School in Kingston, MA. One loop is 5.5 miles. The course map can be found on Map My Ride. If you pull up the map, the instructions below will make more sense. The details are as follows:

Riders with a later seed time can continue to warm up on the school grounds.

We will start the time trial on Route 27 at the Middle School driveway. Cyclists will wait by their cars to be called up for their start.

Cyclists will head east on route 27 for ~ 2 miles before they make a sharp turn onto Grove Street. This turn is just after Whit’s Market. DO NOT CUT THROUGH THE PARKING LOT! This will result in disqualification.

Head west on Grove Street (you will want sunglasses) for ~ 2.5 miles before turning right onto Lake Street.

Ride north on Lake Street ~ 1 mile before making the right-hand turn into the parking lot for the finish line. Upon crossing the finish line cyclists should, 1) call out their name and 2) pull into the Lake Street parking lot to head back to their cars.
Let me know if you have any questions. Hope to see you all Thursday the 27th.

AS ALWAYS, PLEASE EMAIL RACE DIRECTOR  BEFORE THURSDAY AT NOON IF YOU WILL BE AT THE TIME TRIAL SO WE CAN SEED YOU. YOU MUST BE AT THE STAGING AREA BY 6:25 TO RACE.
